Link building services get other websites to link to yours. Ours do it through digital PR: we pitch stories and expert comment to journalists, and when they cover your business, the article links back to your site. You get editorial links on UK news, regional and trade sites, and a dashboard entry for each one.
This page explains what you get, how a campaign runs, what it costs and how to compare us with other link building agencies.
How a campaign works
- You send the pages you want to strengthen. A category page, a service page, a guide. That's usually all we need from you.
- We build the stories. Our team researches angles, writes the comment and data stories, and uses public datasets and Freedom of Information requests where they help.
- We pitch them through our journalist relationships. Each pitch goes to a named journalist who covers that topic.
- Links land over the batch. We aim to complete each batch within 45 days. If a publisher runs late, we keep working until the agreed number of placements is live.
- You see every link in your dashboard the day it goes live, with the publication, date, link attribute and target page.
What's included
- Story research and angle development for your market
- Written comment, data stories and reactive pitches
- Pitching to national, regional and trade journalists
- A check on every placement before it's counted
- Live dashboard reporting, written so a non-SEO colleague can follow it
We don't sell paid guest posts, niche edits or blogger outreach as standalone products. If you're weighing those up, our guides explain the trade-offs.
An example campaign
Illustrative example, not a client result. An online kitchen retailer wants stronger links to its worktops category page and its buying guide. On the Growth plan, our team builds a data story from public renovation and house-price figures, and pitches comment on a live energy-bills story to home, property and consumer journalists. Over the 45-day window, ten articles go live. Most link to the category page or the buying guide; a couple link to the homepage, because the journalist chose to. Each one appears in the dashboard as it lands.
Which UK publications fit your story
British coverage comes in three broad tiers. Matching the story to the right tier is most of the skill, and we'll tell you which is realistic before a campaign starts.
| Tier | Examples of type | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| National news and consumer titles | Major UK newspapers and their online sections | Strong data stories and timely comment with broad appeal |
| Regional and local press | City and county titles across the UK | Local service businesses and brands with a regional footprint |
| Trade and industry publications | Sector titles your buyers read at work | B2B, niche and considered-purchase brands |
Most UK campaigns blend two tiers. A trade feature your buyers read, plus a regional pickup near your customers, often does more for a commercial page than one national link in a section your market never visits. The right blend also changes by sector, and we've written up how it works for SaaS link building, ecommerce link building and local SEO backlinks.
Types of link building agency, and where we sit
Search "link building agency UK" and you'll find four kinds of supplier using the same words to sell very different things.
| Agency type | What they sell | How they price | Main risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Package seller | Bulk links, usually tiered by a third-party domain score | Fixed bundles | Low relevance, paid links that pass ranking credit |
| Guest-post and insertion seller | Paid articles and inserted links on third-party blogs | Per placement | Thin host sites and an obvious footprint |
| Digital PR team | Editorial coverage earned with stories | Campaign or monthly plan | Needs a newsworthy angle and editorial lead time |
| Full-service SEO agency | Links as one line in a wider retainer | Bundled retainer | Link work may be subcontracted or squeezed |
We're a digital PR team. Before you hire anyone, ask to see three live placements they earned last quarter, how each link was acquired, what happens if a publisher removes one, and what the reporting looks like. Our guide to choosing a link building agency has the full checklist, and agency vs in-house covers the build-or-buy question.
Link building and AI search
Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode, and assistants like ChatGPT, tend to draw on pages Google already trusts and on brands mentioned in news coverage. Editorial placements feed both. We can't promise an AI citation and nobody can, but the coverage that supports your rankings also puts your brand in the sources those tools read. Our guide to AI Overviews goes into more detail.
What we commit to
We commit to the agreed number of live editorial placements in each batch, a 45-day target and a dashboard entry for every link. We don't buy links, use private blog networks or rent placements. Publishers control their own articles, so we can't promise a named publication, the link attribute, rankings or AI citations.
When we're not the right fit
Links help a healthy site; they don't fix a broken one. If your key pages are thin or technical problems are holding you back, sort those first. And if your budget only stretches to a few links a year, one focused campaign will do more than a thin spread.
Pricing

FAQs
What does a link building service include?
Ours covers the research, the story or comment, the pitching through our journalist relationships, checking each placement and reporting it in your dashboard. The link is the output. The work around it is what makes the link relevant and safe to point at a commercial page.
How much do your link building services cost?
Our plans are £4,500 for ten editorial placements and £7,500 for twenty, paid once per campaign or monthly if you prefer. That works out at £450 or £375 a placement. Each batch has a 45-day target.
Are you a link building agency or a link building service?
Both words describe the same thing here. We're a UK agency that runs managed link building campaigns through digital PR. Searchers use 'service' and 'agency' interchangeably, so this one page covers both.
Do you only build links from UK publications?
Most campaigns for UK brands focus on British national, regional and trade titles, because that's where their customers read. Software, ecommerce and finance brands sometimes need international coverage too, and we can pitch US and European titles when the story suits them.
Can I choose the anchor text or the exact page each link points to?
You tell us which pages you want to strengthen and we build stories around them. The journalist decides the final wording and where the link points, because it's their article. Most links go to the pages you named; some go to your homepage or a related page.
Do you guarantee dofollow links or rankings?
No. We guarantee the agreed number of live editorial placements in each batch. Publishers set their own link policies, and rankings depend on far more than links.
Is there a long contract?
No. By default you pay once per campaign. If you choose monthly billing, you can cancel before any renewal.
